Historic Kuebler Waldrip Haus building is an original 1847 German pioneer
limestone and hand hewn timber home, and it now has 5 separate
bedrooms each with a private bath (two of the baths have a Jacuzzi bath tub perfect for 2). Three of the rooms will sleep 3-5 guests. Historic Kuebler Waldrip Haus building has some interesting local New Braunfels Texas history. In 1974, the Larry and Margy Waldrip and their three sons moved to the current property. The original house was a
small building that was 17' X 24' with a small kitchen and a front porch and in the 1900's the previous family added two rooms. In 1980, the Waldrip's began remodeling the home and one important New Braunfels historic feature is that the rocks that were used to add on
to the original structure were recycled from the Comal County Jailhouse
(at the plaza) and the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. There are
church and jailhouse rocks here -- 51% church rocks. If walls could talk.... what stories they could tell. Please ask the Waldrip family about the "rest of the story". We would love to have you as our guest, so pick up the phone now to reserve a room. We welcome couples, families, children, groups, and business travelers. |
