Festival (10 Days of Celebration):WURSTFEST, Ten Day Salute to
Sausage!
Location: Wurstfest Ground in Landa
Park
With its German roots, it shouldn’t be
surprising that New Braunfels is home to a 10-day salute to the Sausage! Wurstfest begins on the Friday before the first Monday in
November, and is held on the Wurstfest Grounds in Landa
Park. The festival begin in 1961, and for the last 45 years has honored
the traditional foods that were brought by German tourists. Wurstfest is open on
weekdays from 5pm, and weekends from 11am. It closes at 12midnight on Thursday
and Friday, 1am on Saturday and 11pm on Sunday. Admission is $8 for adults,
children under 12 are free. Food and drink are sold throughout the grounds.
