Landa Park
Come and experience what drew the first settlers to this
area of Texas including crystal clear water, a variety of
wildlife, new plants, and wide open spaces. Although there were native
Indians here, many German settlers came to settle here. What used to be part of
the Landa Ranch consisting of 196 acres, Landa Park now has a miniature train,
walking trails and Panther Canyon, and a large 9 hole golf course. A glass
bottom boat ride on Landa Lake is the best way to see the variety of aquatic
life and the natural springs where the Comal River originates. The
Comal Springs feed the Comal River which is the "shortest river" in the
world (a World Record). It begins and ends in the City Limits of New
Braunfels. It joins with the Guadalupe River and travels to the Gulf of Mexico.
