Guilbeau Room is a comfortable upstairs room located in the middle of the Kuebler Waldrip Haus building, and added after the 1980 restoration. Although the room does not have a porch, it is a popular room for a business traveler, a couple or a family with a child. The room has an antique queen bed, a twin bed and a large private divided bath with a 2 sinks and a separated shower and tub area. View the front or the back of the house from 2 large windows and great views from both directions. Guests staying in the Guilbeau Room get to enjoy the smell of breakfast or coffee before having breakfast and coffee. Here is a little Texas history. This room is named after Francious Guilbeau, a French wine merchant who is credited with saving the French wine industry with Texas Mustang grapes that still grow here. Mr. Francious Guilbeau owned our property, and it was part of the Verimendi Spanish land grant in the early 1840's. If you love Texas history, please see our history page.
